BIO

Luisa Restrepo was born in Medellín, Colombia, 1977. In 2001 she got her BFA in Glass Sculpture at the University of Wolverhampton, England. After traveling and working for various artists in England, US and Mexico, Luisa has established her self in Mexico City and Oaxaca where she has her Glass Studio (opened in 2005) and more recently became part of a performance/action research community. Supported by different scholarships Luisa has attended different glass schools and has been part of the Northland’s and Wheaton CGCA residencies. Luisa shows both nationally and internationally and is an active member of the Mexican Glass Art Community.
